Crown ( Cap) & Bridge
It is a restoration which covers the entire tooth surface. It is used to repair large decay, broken or misshapen teeth. This type of procedure requires two visits. The first visit consists of reducing excess the tooth structure the thickness of the crown all around the tooth. This allows the crown to fit flat with surrounding teeth and gum tissues. There will be several impressions taken to fabricate your temporary and final crown. The final crown is fabricated by an outside dental laboratory. The second appointment is generally booked 10-14 days later to have the final crown cemented.
Bridge follows the same preparation as a single crown, except two teeth are prepared to accept crowns with one suspended in between.
